Our annual church picnic will be held here at Providence. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and all paper products will be provided. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share. Bring any games that you may like to play, be they table games or outdoor games.
PRAYER MEETING
Every Thursday @ 6:30 PM
A small group of members of Providence meet each Thursday night at 6:30 PM in Room 1 and are dedicated to prayer. Our fellowship is open and welcoming to new participants. We generally meet and pray for an hour.
During our prayers each week we pray for the leaders and members of Providence as well as those home bound. Current, pressing prayer needs are also discussed for our church, community and nation. Then we begin with a reading from the Bible. Participants are encouraged to pray "in concert" out loud, but are also welcomed to silently pray along with others. The time together each week is a precious blessing.

So many fun activities are packed into this day! Party Animalz Farm petting zoo will be here from 1:30 - 3:00, along with horses to ride (or just look at and touch); There will be 2 bounce houses (one which will be for 2-4 year olds only.); Bubble Play, Lawn Games, Food Trucks, plus food provided by Providence to round out the activities. Something for all ages! See you there!
Women’s Bible Study
Starting September 16th and 17th; Wednesdays (6:30 PM) and Thursdays (9:15 AM). The same study will be held at each time, so choose the one that fits your schedule best. We will be studying “12 Daring Women of the Bible”. Sign up in the narthex at the church or by calling the church office at 717-767-4772. We look forward to seeing you and delving into God’s Word together!
Fellowship Potluck
Second Sunday of the Month following the Worship service.
The Outreach Committee hosts a fellowship meal for the purpose of getting to know each other a little bit better. If you are a visitor, new attender, or have been attending for years, this is for you. It gives us all a chance to engage with the people we worship with.
MEN’S DINNER & BOOK DISCUSSION
Wednesday evenings, 6:00 PM @ Olive Garden
Not a morning person? There is a solution for that and another opportunity to enjoy food, fellowship, and insight with others.
We are ready to begin a new book for our weekly get-together, Bold as a Lion: Christian Courage in an Age of Cowards by Matthew Everhard (available through Amazon).

We meet for Breakfast, Fellowship and to discuss the previous Sunday’s sermon. We will occasionally intersperse study of a particular book of the bible with personal testimonies and/or the sharing of passages that have had an impact on one of our lives. We try to save time at the end for prayer requests and prayer. We plan to always wrap things up by 7:30, but those who are able are always welcome to stick around and chat afterwards. 6:30 AM Wednesdays at Cousler Park
Break up your day with a fun game of pickleball. No equipment or experience needed. All are welcome. Hope to see you there!
Women’s Walk and Ice Cream Social
Saturday, October 17th, 1 - 4 PM
Come together to be renewed, to connect with others, and of course enjoy a few treats along the way.
We will start with a walk at Cousler park and end up back at Providence for ice cream!
Please bring a Bible verse to share that has encouraged, or been especially meaningful to you, as well as a lawn chair.
